I looked up and saw the full moon hanging brightly in the sky, so luminous that no other light was needed. I squinted, dazzled by the light, and then returned my gaze to the interior of the hospital.
I glanced around quickly, confirming that no patrol staff were present. Even if they were, I could use Light Magic to avoid detection. How convenient Light Magic is.
After confirming once more that no one was approaching, I began to walk. My footsteps made no sound. By placing a barrier on myself, I could achieve this.
I checked the names posted next to each patient room door one by one.
「Wrong. ...This one's wrong, too.」
I repeated, Not the student from the next class whose name I checked earlier. No, not here either, several times.
I stopped in front of one door.
「Here.」
I checked the name one more time, confirming that it was indeed the room of the student I had heard about that afternoon—the victim of the accident.
