My childhood friend, two years older, with golden-brown hair and bright hazel eyes, lightly tapped Felicia on the shoulder.

Barney grinned.
Leaning my arm on his offered elbow, I smiled back, 「Thank you.」
We all walked together, passing through the mansion's hall and out into the spacious garden.
In the living room and garden, about twenty or thirty people had already gathered, chatting with glasses in hand while snacking on light refreshments.
Count Ashfield and my father began to walk among everyone, exchanging greetings.
My mother and Rosemary settled into garden chairs placed under a parasol in the garden with Lady Ashfield.
Felicia was invited by Barney to walk around the garden.
「But, I can't believe Silas agreed to be an adopted husband.」
「Barney, really... Silas is older, right? That's why Silas glares at you, talking like that.」
「Huh, am I being glared at by Silas?」
Barney, seemingly unaware, widened his round eyes even further.
His charming face became even more approachable, but I thought that Silas might not like that kind of thing.
「I don't care if I'm glared at. More importantly, let me introduce you to my friends. Everyone is disappointed, though.」
「Disappointed? Why?」
「It's because you got engaged, of course. Don't you know? Felicia has a lot of fans.」
「Oh, really?」
Barney said, 「Poetry fans, though,」 to Felicia, who smiled involuntarily, and grinned.
Felicia shoved Barney.
「You were teasing me.」
「Sorry, I lied. You were really popular, not just for your poetry.」
「I won't be fooled again.」
「I'm serious.」
As the two were playfully bickering, they reached the middle of the garden, and someone called out to them with a laugh, 「You two get along well.」
「Kevin!」
A tall young man with dark brown hair and eyes stood smiling.
To put it mildly, he was quite handsome.
「Prince Kevin...」
Felicia couldn't help but widen her eyes.
The second prince of the Kingdom of Auckland and an elite member of the Royal Knights.

Seeing my cheeks turn red, Barney teased me.
「Felicia, are you already cheating?」
「W-What are you saying, Barney! It's not like that!」
「Your face is red.」
「I can't help it! I met the Kevin I've been admiring...」
「The Kevin you've been admiring?」
Not only Barney but even Kevin looked at me questioningly, making me blush even more.
Felicia reluctantly confessed.
「I've been a fan of His Highness since watching the Royal Tournament...」
